The gateway to Raja Ampat is Sorong – West Papua.
You can fly to Sorong from either Denpasar, Jakarta, Makassar or Manado, depending on your international flight routes.

If you fly from Denpasar on the way going to Sorong you would need an overnight transit in Makassar. Garuda and Lion Air fly Denpasar – Makassar. Garuda, Sriwijaya and Express Air for Makassar – Sorong.

From Jakarta to Sorong you fly Express Air and Nam Air through Makassar without overnight transit.

If you fly from Manado by Wings Air the arrival time in Sorong is late in the afternoon.

From Sorong to our resort there are 2 options:

First,
Take a 2 hours crossing by speed boat. Day time is considered best time for this crossing; there are often floating log wood in the ocean they are not clearly seen in the dark.

Alternative, take public ferry from Sorong to Waisai – the capital of Raja Ampat Regency – which takes 2 hours; continue to our resort by our speed boat for another 45 minutes.

If you take our Friday-to-Friday packages, transfers from the airport to the harbour of Sorong then to our resort, v.v., are included. There is additional charge for transfers beyond Friday.
